The library staff is not able to do extensive research for individuals. Questions related to genealogy and local history will be researched and answered for a fee by the members of the Des Moines County Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 493, Burlington, Iowa, 52601. To make their work as efficient as possible, be as specific as you are able when requesting their assistance. Please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope to facilitate a reply.
