While the building is now complete, the campaign committee is still raising funds to fund the ongoing costs of the enhanced technology and other improvements. Please consider becoming a part of this important community project. A donor wall acknowledges larger donations ($1500 and up). A donor book lists all donations. You can give in memory of or in honor of a loved one and have the name in the book and/or wall.

General Electric has been matching the contributions of its employees and retirees. So far, this amounts to over $40,000. For 2007 and 2008, we still need pledges from more GE people in order to keep this amount growing. GE requires a minimum number of contributers each year.
See our progress. Fundraising continues. While the campaign is close to its target, more funds are still needed to purchase new equipment and technology enhancements for the building.

Milton Riepe, prior to his death in 1996, had established a Revocable Trust which left a specific bequest for the lifetime of his special friend, Harriett Kramer. Ms. Kramer passed away last fall. The Trust Agreement specified that whatever remained of that bequest was to be divided between Wesley Acres Good Samaritan Endowment Fund, Des Moines (50%), University of Arizona Foundation (25%), and Friends of the Burlington Public Library Foundation (25%). The $66,560.90 amount joins the previous bequest from Mr. Riepe (in excess of $4,000,000) in being applied to the Burlington Public Library Capital Campaign.
