  25. Iowa CCC Camps

November 28, 2017, 10:00 AM @ Burlington Public Library Meeting Rooms

Linda Betsinger McCann is an Iowa native, and has always loved history. She began researching and writing about Iowa history after helping to start a historical society in the town she now lives. This led to the Lost Towns series, and a publisher contacting her. While researching these named locations, she stumbles upon other items in Iowa's history that she wants to know more about. This led to her Prohibition book and now the CCC series. She has had ten books published by The Iowan Books. Linda enjoys speaking with people who have first-hand on the subject. She has interview sixteen men who were in the CCC, and they can tell her things she can't find in research books. That is what she shares with her audiences. Linda is still researching the CCC and would love to speak with men who were in the CCC or their families. She has plans for two more books after the CCC series.
