    Kathryn Lasky's Guardians of Ga'Hoole series will come to life in the library. This STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) event features a special visit from a Starr's Cave naturalist. She will be bringing owl pellets to dissect. Owl you need to do to have a hoot is register.

    Come paint a ghoul made out a pine board. They will. add a scare to your Halloween. Tweens in grades 3-5 may register.

  3. Red Ribbon Week Trivia

    TICOS (Teens Inspiring Change Optimism & Service) is hosting this year's Red Ribbon Week Trivia Contest at the library this year. Teams of 4-8 people can play in this family-friendly event, and have the potential to win $500.00! Cost is $35 per team or $5 per individual. School Clubs, Sports Teams, PTO Groups, are you looking for an easy, fun way to earn some money for your club? Put together a team! Contact Becky Ruberg @ 319-753-1647 to participate.

  4. TICOS: Trick or Treat for UNICEF

    October 31, 2018, 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM

    Teens are not to old to Trick or Treat if it's for a good cause! So costume up & get your dollars ready. TICOS is helping with this tradition that goes back over 60 years by going out in teams to raise money that helps health & education needs of children around the world. Come to the library at 4:30 to get your assigned neighborhood, and the collection kit. Then your group hits the streets. Come back to the library by 7:00 to bring back your collection and see the total. While we tally, enjoy spooky music & snacks.
