Programs

Specifically for Seniors
The library has designed a program series with the interests of seniors in mind. Join us at 210 Court Street on the first Friday of the month, September - May for Specifically for Seniors. Programs are at 10 a.m. and refreshments are served. All seniors are welcome.

Up in the U.P.!

with Presenter, Bill Jamerson

March 2nd, 10 a.m.

Join crowd favorite, Bill Jamerson, when he presents again for Specifically for Seniors. With guitar in hand, Jamerson will tell stories and perform original
songs about iron miners, schooners, ski
jumpers, pasties, thimble berries and
the Finnish people. The songs and
stories Jamerson tells are as
entertaining as they are important, as
honest as they are fun. They are about
people both ordinary and extraordinary
and include stories of wit, charm, and
strength.

Sit 'n Stitch
2nd & 4th Thursdays, 9-11 a.m.

Bring your current needlework project and join other enthusiasts for two hours of conversation and stitching. See the latest library books on quilting, sewing, crocheting, embroidery and more.

Senior Funny

Two young boys were spending the night at their grandparents. At bedtime, the two boys knelt beside their beds to say their prayers when the youngest one began praying at the top of his lungs. "I PRAY FOR A BICYCLE. I PRAY FOR A NEW NINTENDO. I PRAY FOR A NEW iPOD." His older brother leaned over and nudged him and said "Why are you shouting your prayers? God isn't deaf." To which the younger brother replied, "No, but Gramma is!"
