Oscar Wilde’s play The Importance of Being Earnest (1895) is a farcical comedy in which John Worthing, a carefree young gentleman, is the inventor of a fictitious brother, “Ernest,” whose wicked ways afford him an excuse to leave his country home from time to time and journey to London. Love and folly abound in this delightful story!
The Importance of Being Earnest (2002) is 1 hour and 37 minutes and stars Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth.
