    TICOS Advisory/Optimist Club Project Night TICOS is an acronym for Teens Inspiring Change, Optimism & Service. We are a Junior Optimist Club meeting at the library for the purpose of helping the library and the community. If you want to be part of a fun group making a difference, and you are between 6th and 12th grades, we would love to have you attend a meeting, and if you like it, join us!     Coding The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding . Play Minecraft, Frozen, Star Wars & many more games while learning to code using drag & drop blocks. Multi-grade level activities. Register online or drop in with your own device.

    Tween Bunny Craft Hop on in and join us to make a wooden bunny plaque. It will be a fun way to welcome spring. Snacks included. Please Register. Geared for students in 3rd-5th grades.

What is the Teen Advisory Board? 

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is made up of 6th through 12th graders like you who meet to:

  • plan events
  • help make the teen space a comfy & attractive place to hang out
  • help choose books, music, and movies for the library to buy
  • hang out, eat, and just generally have fun
