    TICOS advisory council TICOS stands for Teens Inspiring Change Optimism and Service. We are the Teen Council for the library. Think of us as Student Council. We help plan library events and help with special projects for the library and the community. Any teen 6th grade and up is welcome! We are also a Junior Optimist group and would love to talk to you about joining!

    Tween Wayside School Night Louis Sachar's Wayside School was supposed to be one story high, with 30 classrooms side by side; instead, it was built sideways, with 30 one-classroom stories. You can not have such a strange school without funny things happening! Join us for a night of getting to know these great books with activities and crafts. Tweens 3rd-5th grade can register online for this event.

What is the Teen Advisory Board? 

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is made up of 6th through 12th graders like you who meet to:

  • plan events
  • help make the teen space a comfy & attractive place to hang out
  • help choose books, music, and movies for the library to buy
  • hang out, eat, and just generally have fun
