The Community Emergency Response Team Program educates people about disaster preparedness and hazards and trains them in basic disaster response skills. CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.Members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in their community.
Computers are available in three locations at the library in the Youth Services Department (these are reserved for children under 12 and their caregivers); near the Customer Service Desk; and near the Help Desk. With a library card, you can use a computer for 2 hours per day. Without your card or if you bring a friend, you may pick up a guest pass at the Help Desk. Guest passes allow you one hour of computer time per day.
To login, type the number on the back of your card as your user name and use your PIN as your password. For guest passes, type in the username; there is no password required. All of the computers are networked to the printing station by the Help Desk computers. Printing is 15 cents per page for black and white or 25 cents per page for color.
